Pomegranate is grown in every region of Turkey. There are different varieties of pomegranate, depending on the size, color, juiciness and other aspects of the fruit. Hijaz is a variety that is mainly exported. Due to the special structure of the peel, pomegranates can be stored for up to 4 months under suitable conditions.
